Make the route clear
Start with visitor journeys
Map the route from vehicle entry or drop-off to reception, lifts, facilities and the final room. Place directions where a person must make a choice.
Keep naming consistent
Use the same block, floor and room names on directories, directional signs and destination labels. Agree a clear hierarchy for primary and secondary destinations.
Check signs in context
Review viewing distances, sightlines, contrast and available mounting surfaces. A small sign can suit a nearby door; vehicle directions need a different scale.
